Job Description

Position Overview

Concraft LLC, a federal government contracting firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Watch Officer (JWO) to support our contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service. This is a full-time contract position, in which you will be employed by Concraft LLC and perform your duties on-site in support of the DHS FPS mission. The JWO will serve in a 24-hour watch operations center, providing continuous situational awareness, analytical support, and reporting functions critical to the safety and security of federal facilities and personnel nationwide.

This position operates alongside additional Concraft LLC analysts covering standard Monday–Friday business hours, ensuring round-the-clock operational coverage. Personnel must be prepared to deploy to incident sites across the country for up to two weeks at a time in direct support of the Incident Management Team (IMT).

The JWO works under the oversight of senior contract personnel and government stakeholders, assisting with a broad range of operational and analytical tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a contractor employee, you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and comply with all applicable DHS and FPS policies and procedures.

Watch Operations

  • Maintain continuous situational awareness of DHS-related events, incidents, and threats.
  • Produce, review, distribute, and brief operational and incident reports and reporting products.
  • Maintain and update the Request for Information (RFI) database; track RFIs and ensure timely review and approval.

  • Produce limited GIS imagery to support reporting products.
  • Maintain and update the Common Operating Picture (COP).
  • Ensure the Blotter is received and reviewed on schedule.
  • Update the watch turnover/pass-down report at end of each shift.

  • Access, navigate, and utilize DHS and FPS law enforcement data systems and networks up to Secret classification level.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts in a 24/7/365 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and federal holidays.
  • Willingness and ability to deploy nationwide for up to two weeks to support incident management operations.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of RFI tracking, COP maintenance, or similar operational reporting workflows.
  • Proficiency with standard office and data analysis software.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a full-time contract position with Concraft LLC, performing work in support of a federal government contract with DHS FPS. The position is mission-critical and must be staffed continuously — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates must be fully available for rotating 8-hour shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and federal holidays. Selected personnel will also be subject to short-notice deployment to incident sites nationwide for up to two weeks at a time in support of the DHS FPS Incident Management Team.

As an employee of Concraft LLC, you will be subject to the terms and conditions of your employment contract and are expected to adhere to all client (DHS/FPS) site policies, security requirements, and professional conduct standards at all times.

Security Clearance Requirement

All candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. As this role supports a federal contract, employment with Concraft LLC is contingent upon successful completion of a full background investigation and adjudication by the appropriate government authority. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Concraft LLC will sponsor the clearance process for qualified candidates who do not currently hold an active Secret clearance.
