Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Residential Concrete Finisher to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for pouring, placing, leveling, and achieving premium finishes on concrete surfaces for residential properties. This position requires strong finishing skills, pride in workmanship, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-end results on driveways, patios, walkways, and other home concrete features.
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare job sites by setting and aligning forms to specified depth, pitch, and grade for residential applications (driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, etc.)
•Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, screeds, floats, trowels, and power tools
•Perform various finishing techniques including broom finish, smooth trowel, exposed aggregate, stamped patterns, or other decorative finishes as specified
•Cut expansion/control joints, edge surfaces, and apply proper curing methods to ensure long-lasting quality
•Patch, repair, or resurface existing concrete when needed
•Monitor weather conditions and curing process to achieve optimal results
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
•Collaborate with crew members, foremen, and homeowners to meet project timelines and expectations
•Load/unload tools, materials, and equipment as required
Requirements
•Minimum 2–3+ years of proven experience as a concrete finisher, preferably focused on residential flatwork
•Strong knowledge of concrete mixes, finishing tools (hand trowels, power trowels, edgers, groovers, etc.), and techniques
•Ability to read basic plans, measurements, and homeowner specifications
•Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks: stand/kneel for long periods, lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather
•Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
•Commitment to safety protocols and quality craftsmanship
•Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work efficiently in a team
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with decorative concrete (stamping, staining, exposed aggregate)
•Familiarity with residential codes and best practices
•Tools of the trade (preferred but not required—we provide major equipment)
