Job Description

Restaurant & Bar is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing hospitality team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and Owner in overseeing all front-of-house and overall operations
• Develop and roll out proper steps of service for the host, service and bar team members
• Lead, coach, and develop service staff to maintain high standards of hospitality
• Ensure exceptional guest service and handle escalated guest concerns professionally
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and cost control
• Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless FOH/BOH communication
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor, and expenses
• Step in to manage daily operations in the General Manager’s absence

Qualifications

• 4+ years of management experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage teams in a high-volume or upscale environment
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and guest relations
• Experience with scheduling, POS systems, and basic financial reporting
• Passion for hospitality and team development
• Bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus
